Vascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, and heart attacks are sudden and strike with no notice. What if you could know when you were about to have a heart attack? Currently symptoms do not appear until the late stages, often when it is too late. Two PhD students, John Carroll and Eamonn Colley, made a breakthrough discovery that enables a radically earlier diagnosis.
