Assisted reproductive technology is a growing market, with 70 million couples globally relying on this to conceive babies, and this number is still growing by 8% per year. In Australia alone, 4% of newborns every year are conceived through ART technologies. However, the success rate of ART technologies plateaued at 33%, which means on average the patients need to receive 3–4 treatments to conceive a baby, introducing burdens on the patients financially and emotionally. Echo Fertility is building next-generation technology that can help boost the success rates of all sorts of assisted reproductive technologies, by improving sperm motility using ultrasound.
