I’m an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR), and sit on the investments team in NZ.I’m on the lookout for ambitious Kiwis doing their life’s work, wherever in the world they may live today. I’m here to invest, brainstorm, and be a resource in whatever way I can.

What do you do at Blackbird?

What did you do before Blackbird?

I built and led the global “On Deck” community as CEO, rode the wildest of startup roller coaster rides. Before that, I built a career at the intersections of product management, venture capital, and law — from early days at AngelList, to Carta, 500 Startups, CoinList, and more. Before THAT, I built startups while studying at the University of Otago, and took a lap of NZ’s venture ecosystem with Lightning Lab, Movac, and GD1 in 2013/14.

What ideas are you excited by right now?

I’m excited by whatever ideas deeply ambitious people think are worth their scarce time and attention… the problems they see in the world, and believe are worth working on.
