I'm the General Counsel, Compliance Officer and Company Secretary at Blackbird. I grew up in Sydney, studied law and international studies (Japanese) at UTS and spent 10 years living and working in London before relocating to Sydney in 2015. I love travelling, foreign languages and culture, going to the theatre, watching the tennis and rugby league (go the Parra Eels!) and listening to cheesy 90s rnb/rap music.
I oversee all of the legal, compliance and risk aspects relating to the Blackbird group, including our funds and the investments we make into startups.
Previously, I was Head of Legal & Compliance at CHAMP Private Equity (CPE Capital) in Sydney and Head of Legal (Europe) at Pantheon Ventures in London. Before that, I worked as a solicitor in corporate/financial services law at law firms based in both Sydney and London.
That being kind and empathetic is a strength, not a weakness.
