I’m a Partner at Blackbird. The best part of this jobis seeing other people become their best selves, and I spend most of my work hours trying help people do that.

At critical moments in time, you can raise the aspirations of other people significantly, especially when they are relatively young, simply by suggesting they do something better or more ambitious than what they might have in mind.

What do you do at Blackbird?

I invest in Australia's most ambitious founders.

What did you do before Blackbird?

Music journalism, law, started a digital agency, started a music website, started a healthcare company (called Sessions, that Blackbird funded) and worked at Boxee, MyFitnessPal and Under Armour.

What do you believe that others do not?

Startmate, setting up our Melbourne office and heading up our Investments team.

What ideas are you excited by right now?

The idea that every day we can meet a founder that will change the trajectory of the next ten years.
