IT & Security supercharges Blackbird with shiny gadgets. I support every everyone at Blackbird with secure, reliable and smooth access to tools and technology they need to do their best work. On the security side, I contribute to building a strong security culture by managing risk assessments, supporting vendor reviews, and helping the team adopt secure tools and practices. I also assist in incident response when needed, identifying issues quickly, escalating appropriately, and working with the team to protect sensitive information.
I spent a year as a security analyst at Avant Mutual, an Australian-based medical indemnity company for doctors, help protect their assets. Prior to that, I worked as a manager and sales at a Telstra store.
I believe that security is more about people than it is about technology. You can build the most advanced systems in the world, but if people don’t feel educated, supported, or empowered, things will still fall through the cracks.
