I’m a Data Analyst on the Investments team. I grew up on Auckland’s North Shore. Outside of work, you’ll find me lifting weights with mates, walking my dog along the beach, or winding down with a great movie or documentary.

What do you do at Blackbird?

I help the investment team make the most well-informed decisions possible, whether that’s digging into portfolio data, spotting trends, or building tools that surface the right insights at the right time. I love making sense of messy data and turning it into something clear, useful, and actionable.

What did you do before Blackbird?

I started out at Halter, working on supply chain and quality assurance. That sparked an interest in software, so I took a leap and completed a 16-week coding bootcamp with Dev Academy. From there, I joined Element X AI and helped build a language learning app for Pearson Education. Then the opportunity at Blackbird came along and with my interest in startups, it was a no brainer.

What do you believe that others do not?

What ideas are you excited by right now?

I’m most excited by ideas that uncover something entirely new, solutions that feel discovered or invented rather than improved or iterated. While many great businesses build on what already exists, the ones that truly inspire me unlock solutions to meaningful problems that feel like leaps from 0 to 1 for humanity.
